Birth Doula

Keri Boissel, Rooted In Love Doula Services

Hi, I’m Keri Boissel, the founder of Rooted in Love, LLC. For the past six years, I have had the absolute honor of serving women as a birth doula in both home and hospital settings. My mission is to meet mothers exactly where they are, providing empowerment, love, and true informed consent through every trimester, birth, and the postpartum period. My passion for this work grew out of my own diverse birth experiences—my oldest was born in a hospital, and my next two were born beautifully at home with a midwife and doulas. Having a doula by my side who shared my Christian faith and knew exactly how to coach me or simply hold space changed everything for me. Now, I strive to bring that same intuitive, faith-filled presence to every family I support. When I’m not attending births or homeschooling my three children, you can find me working on our family homestead with my husband, Jason, where we tend to our gardens, chickens, and vineyard. I also enjoy antiquing and thrifting, hiking, and my favorite color is green!

Postpartum Doula
Rachel Bailey, ProDoula certified labor, VBAC, postpartum, infant care

Rachel is an experienced birth and postpartum doula, owner of Eleison Doula Services, and mom of four. She previously taught public health at Samford University before turning that same passion for helping families toward offering doula support here in Birmingham, Alabama. For six years, Rachel has walked alongside moms facing sleep deprivation with a newborn, breastfeeding struggles, and the disorientation of no family support after baby arrives — bringing calm presence and practical help to the hardest nights. She also teaches childbirth and newborn care classes for parents preparing for birth with confidence. Rachel believes postpartum is a sacred transition, not just recovery, and her mission is to accompany moms with calm presence and soulful support so they feel seen, heard, and held.

Lactation Consultant
Jordan Clarke, RN, BSN, IBCLC –
Birmingham Breastfeeding

“I am a lactation consultant and former pediatric nurse. I have a deep love for children and I am passionate about serving moms and their babies.

I graduated with a Nursing Degree from Auburn University. While spending several years as an inpatient and outpatient pediatric nurse, I became a mom to a beautiful baby boy. Despite my years of educating moms on all things breastfeeding, I thought for sure I was prepared to start feeding my child effectively once he was born… I was wrong. I discovered the world of postpartum and breastfeeding that no one talks about or prepares you for. As a result, I made it my mission to make sure no mom feels alone, frustrated, or confused about how to feed her baby. I want to come alongside you in the midst of your breastfeeding journey (prenatal or postpartum) to problem-solve, educate, and encourage you.”

Family and Functional Medicine / Pediatrics
Jenn Devilleneuve – Pediatric Functional Nurse Practitioner
Jenn deVilleneuve is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Well Rooted Functional Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. Her path into functional medicine wasn’t planned- it started at home, when three of her five children had chronic health issues that left her with more questions than answers. As a mom, she knew there had to be reasons to explain what was going on, and being in healthcare, she began a search for root causes and answers which ended up changing and shaping how she now practices medicine.

Out of that journey, Well Rooted Functional Medicine was born: a practice built on the belief that families deserve a partner who digs deeper, not just a provider who treats symptoms. Jenn has pursued extensive training in a functional medicine approach to complex, chronic illness, and works with both children and adults navigating conditions such as severe allergies, eczema, gut issues (IBS, IBD, and more), autoimmune disease, autism, and PANS/PANDAS.

Jenn considers it a privilege to walk alongside families in their journey toward health — asking the deeper questions, connecting the dots, and helping each person get back to feeling like themselves again.
